The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) is dedicated to reducing cyber-risk in the global financial system. FS-ISAC is an industry consortium that connects nearly 7,000 financial institutions and more than 15,000 users in more than 70 jurisdictions. The FS-ISAC’s Global Intelligence Office (GIO) is responsible for the formal threat-sharing and analytical reporting for its members. Cyber Security Analysts are responsible for the receipt, enrichment and publication of threat alerts and incident advisories, along with security recommendations and mitigation advice to support members’ Security Operations Centres. Intelligence Analysts deliver insight for a greater understanding of the significant tools, methods and actors currently targeting the sector. This is a diverse, global team in a fast-paced environment.


This position will serve as a Technical Intelligence Analyst based in Reston, VA and covering the Americas area of responsibility. 


Essential Functions

  •         Conduct multiple-source intelligence analysis on current and emerging threats using advanced research methods and analytical techniques
  •         Craft finished intelligence analysis reports with concise and structured writing skills
  •         Work from a tactical level on telemetry data to a strategic level for understanding of the threat at a sector level
  •         Work in a virtual, global team environment where communication skills are key
  •         Support FS-ISAC staff from other department as needed with member meetings, conferences, exercise development and training
  •         Work physically at a security cleared office

Position Qualifications

  •         3-5 years of intelligence or risk analysis experience with the ability to understand the difference between cyber intelligence and cyber security analysis
  •         Developed analytical writing skills with knowledge of the basic principles and able to communicate what their approach would be for different types of intelligence reports dependent on audience
  •         Excellent communication skills, including effective verbal and written work in a related area
  •         Written and verbal proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese language skills a plus
  •         Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple products/reports at the same time to a high degree of quality
  •      Existing security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance will be favorably considered

As a financial services sector consortium, a FS-ISAC analyst should have a broad knowledge on threat topics concerning the sector not limited to cyber, including fraud risks, economic crime and money laundering. Past work in the financial sector and familiarity with global issues will be considered a plus. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
