Position Summary


The Technical Content Developer will be responsible for helping develop, review and revise content for presentations at FS-ISAC events, FS-ISAC webinars and other FS-ISAC products, as needed. This role will focus on ensuring consistency of information presented, and the right candidate must have well-developed skills, ability and experience in the Essential Functions listed below. The employee is this role understands current and emerging security trends across the Financial Industry. They will have operational experience in a security organization and be familiar with the challenges and issues a security team faces on a day-to-day basis.

The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, have experience working with and in content management systems, and have proficiency in writing and editing. Familiarity with cybersecurity is a plus.


Essential Functions 

  •  Proofreads, edits and corrects text for style and accuracy.
  •  Edits proposal narratives/abstracts, corrects grammar, passive voice and consistency to support ease of readability.
  •  Ensures all text conforms for message and voice with company guidelines.
  •  Verifies facts using standard reference sources. Researches to confirm accuracy, facts, dates and statistics.
  •  Has technical writing skills, preferably in cybersecurity and/or fraud.
  •  Assists the Director of Security Information Services with membership outreach and Content Committee outreach.
  •  Oversees external communications (email, automated messages from the CMS, phone calls, etc.) with membership and, in some cases, sponsor speakers.
  •  Creates and maintains all process and style guides for use by all staff and authors.
  •  Coordinate editorial schedule with marketing and communications staff while communicating needs and deadlines.
  •  Perform related duties as assigned.

  •  Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  •  Ability to work productively under tight deadlines, juggling several projects at once
  •  Sound decision-making skills
  •  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work well with other teams within the company
  •  Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Abode Creative Suite
  •  At least three years writing experience at a print or online outlet
  •  Familiarity with cyber-security or financial industry strongly preferred
