BACKGROUND

 

The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), was created by and for members and operates as a member-owned 501(c)(6), not-for-profit entity. FS-ISAC serves as a bi-directional information and intelligence organization leading the financial services sector efforts to protect against and mitigate as needed cyber and physical threats and incidents against financial firms.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Digital Content Developer will be responsible for helping develop, review and revise content for digital events hosted by FS-ISAC. This role will focus on ensuring consistency of information presented, and the right candidate must have well-developed skills, and ability and experience in the Essential Functions listed below. The right candidate will understand current and emerging security trends across the financial industry, and should have operational experience in a security organization.

 

The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, have experience working with and in content management systems and digital platforms, and be a proficient writer and editor. Cybersecurity industry knowledge is also a must.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Proofreads, edits and corrects text for style and accuracy.
  • Edits proposal narratives/abstracts, corrects grammar, passive voice and consistency to support ease of readability.
  • Ensures all text conforms for message and voice with company guidelines.
  • Verifies facts using standard reference sources. Conducts research to confirm accuracy, facts, dates and statistics.
  • Has technical writing skills, preferably in cybersecurity and/or fraud.
  • Assists with membership outreach and Content Committee outreach.
  • Oversees external communications (email, automated messages from the CMS, phone calls, etc.) with membership and, in some cases, sponsor speakers.
  • Creates and maintains all process and style guides for use by all staff and authors.
  • Coordinate editorial schedule with marketing and communications staff while communicating needs and deadlines.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work productively under tight deadlines, juggling several projects at once
  • Sound decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work well with other teams within the company
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Abode Creative Suite

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • At least three years writing experience at a print or online outlet
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity or financial industry strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
  • Digital event experience is a preferred skill
